Amigurumi Basics
Come one, come all as we set off on an adventure into the world of amigurumi! If you don't know what amigurumi are, they are the Japanese art of hand-stitched, commonly crocheted, stuffed dolls. You've probably seen many before if you've ever been to a craft fair. These cute stuffed animals have taken the world by storm over the last few years, so it's time to jump on board!
Class is one three-hour session from 5:30-8:30 on Thursday, January 29th.
In this class, we'll learn how to read a crochet pattern, work with chenille yarns, increase and decrease, and make accent pieces like beaks, wings, combs, and little feet.
Supplies needed:
- 1 skein each of Bella Chenille in Snowy, Apple Red, and Apricot
- 1 5.5mm or 6.0mm crochet hook
- Small amount of polyfill
- 1 set of 14mm safety eyes
- Tapestry needle
- Snips
- Stitch markers
Supplies are not included, but all students will get 10% off on any class supplies purchased in-store.
